Today, my thoughts are with the 3,000 people who died on September 11, 2001, as well as the hundreds of thousands of people - soldiers and civilians alike - who have lost, and continue to lose, their lives in the aftermath. I pray for the families of the slain, worldwide, and that, someday, humankind will abandon its heritage of violence in favor of peace, compassion, and respect for all lives.
